Destination: Bogotá, Medellin, Cartagena

Day 1  Bogota 
Individual arrival at Bogotá. Welcome by our local English speaking guide and transfer to the hotel. 

Day 2  Bogota  
You will start the day with the visit of the famous Gold Museum and the colonial Center of La Candelaria. Continue to Zipaquirá, the former central point of saltproduction of the Muisca Indians. The main attraction of Zipaquirá is the Salt cathedral, built inside the salt mine, 2652 meters above sea level.  

Day 3 Bogota-Honda  
Transfer to Honda (around 4 hours). The city was founded 1539 and applied for the Spaniards, the English, the French and the Germans as most important reloading point for all importet goods. The city is     called „City of bridges“, because more than 25 bridges leads over the river Magdalena, Gualí, Guarinó and the Quebrada Seca. Enjoy a walk through the colonial center of Honda.   

Day 4  Hacienda Napoles  
Transfer to La Dorada situated on the banks of Colombia's principal river, Magdalena River. You will visit the infamous Hacienda Napoles. This hacienda was the residence of the drug baron "Pablo Escobar" for a long time. Transfer to Puerto Triunfo (around 3 hours).  

Day 5  Nature Reserve of Rio Claro 
Today you will venture a full day excursion to the    nature reserve of Rio Claro. Take the chance to have a refreshing bath in the river, observe a multitude of birds or make a hike through the natural forest on paths with different levels of difficulty. In the late    afternoon you will return to the hotel.    

Day 6  Medellin  
Transfer to Medellin, the second-largest city of Colombia and capital of Antioquia. During a city tour you will visit the Antioquia Museum with a fine collection of       pictures from the famous colombian painter and sculptor Fernando Botero. The Metrocar, a kind of  cable car, will bring you to the south-eastern districts, where nowadays the upper class will live. In former times this district was an unsafe area, but today it is the showcase of succeeded local safety policy.  

Day 7  Medellin  
Transfer to the airport and flight to Cartagena, the most beautiful colonial city on the Caribbean coast. 

Day 8 Cartagena  
Today you will steep into the history of Cartagena. On this citx tour you will visit the Convent of La Popa, have a photo-stop at the Fort San Felipe and walk through the colourful streets and attend the convent of San Pedro Claver. Afterwards transfer to the fishing village La Boquilla, 1 1/2 hours away from Cartagena. In little Dugout-canoes you will move through the mangroves. In the afternoon return to Cartagena. 

Day 9 Cartagena 
Day at leisure for own activities. Optional: Full day excursion to the great Rosario       Islands. The archipel of coral reefs and crystal clear water lies 45km south-west off shore (2h         boat-ride).  

Day 10 Cartagena 
Transfer to the airport for your homebound flight to Europe or individual extension in Cartagena.
