ITINERARY:    

DAY 01, MONDAY:                                                                                                             ABERDARES

Met on arrival at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi and transferred to the Somak Safari Lounge to freshen-up. Later drive north through the rich farming areas arriving at the Aberdare Country Club in time for lunch (180 kms). After lunch, proceed on an afternoon nature walk with the resident naturalist (weather permitting). Dinner and overnight at Aberdare Country Club (L,D) 

DAY 02, TUESDAY:                                                                                                                 SAMBURU

After breakfast drive north and across the Equator to the semi-arid and rugged landscape of Samburu area (200 kms). After lunch proceed on a late afternoon game-drive. Dinner and overnight at the Ashnil Samburu Tented Camp or similar (B,L,D)

DAY 03, WEDNESDAY:                                                                                                     SAMBURU

Early morning and late afternoon game-drives enable you to see wildlife unique to this arid yet beautiful part of Kenya. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and overnight at the Ashnil Samburu Camp or similar (B,L,D)

DAY 04, THURSDAY:                                                                                                             MT KENYA  

Today after breakfast, transfer to Mt. Kenya (225 kms, approximately 2.5 hours) arriving in time for lunch at Serena Mountain Lodge. Spend the afternoon viewing game from the lodge or, weather permitting; join a nature walk (optional extra, to book and pay locally) led by a local guide. Game-viewing is from the comfort of the lodge overlooking a salt lick that is constantly visited by a variety of animals. Dinner and overnight at Serena Mountain Lodge (B,L,D)

DAY 05, FRIDAY:                                                                            LAKE NAKURU/LAKE NAIVASHA

After breakfast drive into the Great Rift Valley and continue to Lake Nakuru National Park for lunch and afternoon game drive. (240 kms, approximately 3.5 hours).  Drive to Lake Naivasha (70 kms, approximately 1 hour). Check in at your lodge. Dinner and overnight at Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge or similar (B,L,D).

DAY 06, SATURDAY:                                                                                                       MASAI MARA

Depart Lake Naivasha after breakfast and drive further along the floor of the Rift Valley to the world famous Masai Mara Game Reserve arriving in time for lunch at the camp (315 kms, approximately 5 hours). Afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at the Ashnil Mara Tented Camp or similar (B,L,D)

DAY 07, SUNDAY:                                                                                                           MASAI MARA

An early morning balloon safari over the Mara followed by a bubbly bush breakfast (optional extra) or take an early morning game-drive followed by breakfast at the camp. Rest of the morning at leisure at the camp. After lunch proceed on an afternoon game-drive. Dinner and overnight at the Ashnil Mara Tented Camp or similar (B,L,D)

DAY 08, MONDAY:                                                                                                                    DEPART

Return to Nairobi by road (335 km – approximately 6 hours), or fly from the Mara to Nairobi: morning flight (prices on request). Light lunch/refreshments will be served at the Somak Safari lounge before final transfer to the airport for your outbound international flight or proceed with own chosen extension (B)
