Day 1 São Paulo
Arrival in São Paulo. In the afternoon City tour to visit the world famous metropolis.
Day 2 São Paulo - Paraty
Half day bus journey (seat-in) to the small colonial town of Paraty, upon arrival guided walking tour through Brasil´s most attractive and exquisitely preserved historical gem.
Day 3 Paraty
Day at leisure for own activities in and around Paraty.
Day 4 Paraty - Rio de Janeiro
Half day bus journey (seat-in basis) along the beautiful green coastal road of Costa Verde. Arrival in Rio de Janeiro and remaining time at leisure.
Day 5 Rio de Janeiro
Half day city tour inclusive visit of the Corcovado mountain with its famous Christ statue within the Tijuca Forest National Park. Optional: visit of a Samba Show including Churrasco (Barbecue) Dinner.
Day 6 Rio de Janeiro
Half day city tour including visit of the famous Sugar Loaf mountain with a brilliant view over the city and beaches.
Day 7 Rio - Petropolis - Tiradentes
Transfer by bus to Petropolis, former summer residence of the imperial family. Visit of the Imperial Museum incl. lunch. Proceed to Tiradentes, an historical city in Minas Gerais.
Day 8 Tiradentes - Congonhas - Ouro Preto
Visit of Tiradentes with its cobbled streets and colonial houses. Proceed via São João del Rey to Congonhas, notable for its basilica Santuário do Bom Jesus do Matosinho. Final stop is today the charming colonial city of Ouro Preto.
Day 9 Ouro Preto
Full day visit of Ouro Preto, UNESCO World Heritage. Its baroque churches, bridges and fountains remain as a testimony to its past prosperity during Brazil´s golden age in the 18th century.
Day 10 Ouro Preto - Salvador da Bahia
Flight to Salvador da Bahia, one of the oldest cities in the Americas.
Day 11 Salvador da Bahia
Half day historical tour to get a good overall impression of Salvador and its principal historical landmarks.
Day 12 Salvador da Bahia
Day at leisure. Optional: Visit to the colonial town of Cachoeira with fine colonial architecture and one of the main "candomblé" centres of Bahia.
Day 13 Salvador da Bahia - Recife
Flight to Recife. Visit of the “Brazilian Venice”, due to its many rivers, small islands and over 50 bridges. Visit of Recife and picturesque Olinda, its historic downtown area is a World Heritage Site.
Day 14 Recife
Day at leisure to enjoy the beautiful beaches.
Day 15 Recife
Transfer to the airport for omebound flight or extension program.
