Day 01                                                                                                                      Florianopolis

Upon arrival at Florianopolis airport transfer to your hotel.

Capital of Santa Catarina State, Florianopolis is the smallest capital in Brasil. Located in the Santa Catarina Island offering  a Mediterranean like scenery of small fishing villages and 42 beaches, Florianopolis features a relaxed atmosphere.

Day 02                                                                                                                      Florianopolis

• Half day city tour Florianopolis (approx. 3 hours)

Today you will enjoy a half day city tour in Florianopolis, passing by the main residential districts, visiting the Metropolitan Cathedral to see the wood sculpture called “Escape to the Egypt” (a magnificent work of art from the 17^th century). Then we will proceed to the Governor´s Palace which houses the Historic Museum. The building dates from the date 1700s and features a splendid interior. On the upper floor you will see elegant period furniture, paintings and personal objects of the former owners. At the traditional and centenary old fig tree at the XV de Novembro Square you will visit the Municipal Market, now a fish market, where all trades between villagers and travelers took place during the 18^th and 19^th centuries. Next to the market there is the Customs House, now it’s a local handcraft gallery. Proceeding to the Federal University Campus, Residential Palace in Agronomica, North Shore Avenue, Hercilio Luz Bridge, inaugurated on May 13^th 1926.  

Return to the hotel.

Day 03                                                                                                                      Florianopolis

• Day al leisure

Day at leisure – the following optional tour can be booked at our local SAT office:

Optional: Half day tour to Conceição Lagoon and Joaquina Beach (approx. 3 hours)

Taking the Beira Mar Avenue along the North Bay, then crossing the island eastbound, passing by Agronomica Residential Palace and going up Sete Voltas, from where you can enjoy a spectacular view of Conceição Pond with the Atlantic Ocean in the background.

Continue on the avenue along the Conceicao Pond, with a stop at the bridge to observe the shrimp fishing. Proceed to the Lagoon Dunes that covers a 3 km long area and then on to visit the famous Joaquina Beach.
