Day 1: Los Angeles / Arrival

Day 2: Los Angeles Enjoy a visit to this city, which may include the exciting Universal Studios, Beverly Hills with the homes of the Stars, glamorous Hollywood with its Walk of the Fame and Santa Monica located at a white sand beach.

Day 3: Los Angeles – San Diego We suggest visiting Seaworld to admire the world-famous trained killer whale Shamu, or the old Gaslamp District where you find many attractive coffee shops and restaurants, or “Old Town” with its Mexican flair. Apx. 220 km / 138 mi

Day 8: Grand Canyon – Kayenta Monument Valley consists of Table Mountains, in all shades of red color, which tower up to 300 m above the Colorado Plateau. Apx. 260 km / 162 mi

Day 9: Kayenta – Lake Powell/Page Departure to this lake, which is embedded in a red Sandstone formation, contrasting with the deep blue of the lake where you may enjoy a boat tour. Apx. 170 km / 106 mi

Day 10: Page – Bryce National Park Bryce Canyon presents itself like a fantasy world of sandstone in all read color shades and seeing it at sunset is particularly rewarding. Apx. 170 km / 106 mi

Day 11: Bryce Canyon N.P. – Las Vegas The drive through Zion NP with its walls of  jagged rocks and green vegetation will be in full contrast to your destination Las Vegas. Apx. 400 km / 250 mi

Day 12: Las Vegas During the day you may want to explore the surroundings of Las Vegas by taking a tour to Lake Mead or Red Rock Canyon. At night, you may want to try your luck at one of the famous hotel casinos or opt for one of the exciting shows.

Day 13: Las Vegas – Lone Pine/Death Valley Today you journey to Death Valley, the deepest point of the Western hemisphere. Located almost 90 m under sea level, it offers great scenery and has an interesting history. Enjoy the view from Zabriskie Point and visit Badwater before continuing to Lone Pine.  Apx. 370 km / 231 mi

Day 14: Death Valley/Lone Pine – Visalia Drive through Death Valley and then continue through fertile farmland to Visalia. Apx. 480 km / 300 mi

Day 15: Visalia – Sequoia N.P. – Fresno Don’t miss a visit to the Sequoia N.P. with its gigantic Redwood Trees. Continue to Fresno. Apx. 250 km / 156 mi

Day 16: Fresno –  El Portal/Modesto The 13 km long Yosemite Valley with its steep, high granite rocks, like Half Dome and El  Capitan, the spectacular waterfalls, quiet mountain lakes and picturesque mountain areas is a most beautiful National Park you will enjoy visiting. Apx. 390 km / 243 mi

Day 17: El Portal/Modesto – San Francisco Drive to San Francisco where you will spend two nights. You may want to explore this beautiful city by cable car or on foot, walking from Fisherman's Wharf to Union Square with all the highlights on the way. Apx. 150 km / 93 mi

Day 18: San Francisco A whole day to explore this city and cross over the Golden Gate Bride to enjoy the art galleries of Sausalito and advance to the Muir Woods where you find some of the last giant redwood trees. Or even spend the day tasting Californiagrown wines in Napa Valley. 

Day 19: San Francisco – San Simeon / Pismo Beach Historic Monterey and lovely Carmel, both enjoy a great location and are worth a visit. The famous  Cannery Road with its former canning factories and typical restaurants and Carmel with its mission, art galleries, lovely boutiques and good  restaurants will impress you. Do not miss the 17-Mile-Drive (entrance fee) along one of the most fabulous coast lines. Hearst Castle at San Simeon is well worth a visit. Apx. 420 km / 262 mi 

Day 20: San Simeon / Pismo Beach  – Santa Barbara A nice drive down Hwy 1 leads you to your destination Santa Barbara. Enjoy the charming city of Santa Barbara and take a stroll on State Street or visit the historic Mission and the Spanish style Court House.  Apx. 300 km / 187 mi

Day 21: Santa Barbara – Los Angeles You will travel back to Los Angeles via Malibu and Santa Monica.  Apx. 130 km / 81 mi

Day 22: Los Angeles / Departure Your trip ends with the rental car return and flight back home.
